7 Day Safari Get Away

Depart from your Maun hotel at 9:00 AM and travel towards Khwai through the Moremi Game Reserve. Enjoy a tea break at the park entrance before continuing with your first game-viewing experience. Keep an eye out for elephants, leopards and a variety of birdlife as you explore the reserve. After lunch at a scenic watering hole, continue towards Khwai and arrive at camp in the late afternoon. Settle into your comfortable en-suite tent, freshen up and enjoy dinner around the campfire.

Begin the day with an early morning game drive through Magotho, known for its beautiful landscapes and diverse wildlife. Enjoy a picnic brunch surrounded by nature before continuing along the Khwai River. Return to camp for some time to relax before heading out on an afternoon game drive and sunset sundowners along the river. Return to camp for dinner under the stars.

After breakfast, pack up and begin the journey from Khwai to Mababe, with opportunities for wildlife viewing along the way. Stop for a bush lunch surrounded by the wilderness before continuing to Mababe. At camp, take part in traditional games and a fire-making activity before enjoying a guided night excursion in search of nocturnal wildlife, including hyenas.

Travel from Mababe towards the legendary Savuti region, exploring the surrounding wilderness and visiting the ancient rock paintings of Ghoha Hills. Enjoy game viewing along the route, with opportunities to see elephants, wild dogs, jackals and other wildlife. Stop for a bush lunch before continuing through the Savuti plains, then return to Mababe for dinner and an evening around the campfire.

Travel towards Boro, the gateway to the Okavango Delta, with a stop in Shorobe for a traditional basket-weaving experience. Continue your journey and enjoy a bush lunch before arriving at camp. In the afternoon, experience a traditional Mokoro excursion through the peaceful Delta channels. Return to camp for dinner, followed by traditional games or a relaxing evening under the stars.

Spend the day exploring deeper into the Okavango Delta. Enjoy a scenic boat trip through the Delta’s waterways, with opportunities to see fish eagles, crocodiles and diverse birdlife. Stop on a remote island for a picnic lunch before a guided nature walk. Later, enjoy a sunset Mokoro excursion and sundowners on the water. End the day with traditional Delta singing and dancing around the campfire.

Start the morning with a final guided nature walk through the Delta, followed by your last Mokoro experience. Continue your journey towards Maun. Guests with early flights can take an express boat transfer for an earlier arrival, while other guests can enjoy a more relaxed journey and arrive in Maun around midday, marking the end of the safari.
